The GVS 808 is an advanced absolute linear encoder with glass scale, specially developed for CNC machines, presses, automation solutions and special machines. Thanks to its robust design, the innovative FEP system (Fixed Expansion Point) and its high degree of protection, it offers exceptional precision and reliability - even in extreme environments.

With a resolution of up to 10 nm and an accuracy of up to ±2 μm (for lengths of up to 640 mm), the GVS 808 meets the highest requirements in industrial production. The measuring length extends up to 3240 mm, making it particularly versatile.

The electronic unit is fully protected against environmental influences (IP67 possible), with double sealing lips, integrated air pressure regulation and a pressurized read head. The connection direction of the cable can be flexibly adjusted via a rotatable M12 connector.

The encoder is compatible with the common CNC protocols: SSI, BiSS C, Siemens DRIVE-CLiQ and FANUC αi - with or without analog 1 Vpp signal.

Thanks to the optionally selectable FEP system (can be positioned centrally, right or left), the thermal expansion can be optimally adapted to the axis application - for constant precision regardless of temperature fluctuations.
