Insulation solutions across materials

Cross-material insulation solutions for demanding industrial applications

In modern industrial processes, the demands on materials are constantly increasing. The targeted use of different materials within a component is often the most efficient solution - both technically and economically. As a DOCERAM sales partner, Megatron AG offers sophisticated cross-material insulation solutions that combine high-performance ceramics with other functional materials.

The basic idea: high-performance materials such as technical ceramics are used where mechanical, thermal or electrical loads are highest. Less stressed component areas are supplemented with cost-efficient materials such as fiber composites, GRP or insulating laminates. The result is functionally optimized components that perfectly combine quality and cost-effectiveness.

A typical example: In gripper arms or handling systems in electronics production, only the loaded contact or friction surfaces are made of ceramic. The base body is made of a lighter and cheaper material - for example DOGLAS, a glass fiber reinforced plastic with excellent insulating properties.

DOCERAM relies on a wide range of compatible materials, including:

  • Cerazur® - for high mechanical stress

  • CosTherm - ideal for tool and press construction

  • DOGLAS (GRP) - stable, lightweight and insulating

  • DOTHERM - for high-temperature applications and electrical insulation

The combination of these materials enables customized components for a wide range of applications: from electrical and thermal insulation to sliding elements and precise handling in automated systems.

Material combinations are the key to functional efficiency. Contact Megatron AG - we will be happy to advise you on the implementation of your individual insulation solution.
