Coilformers serve as carriers for copper coils that generate an electromagnetic field. This field is used to move metallic parts or liquids in a targeted manner - for example in solder pumps or electromagnetic valves.

DOCERAM coilformers are made of high-purity aluminum oxide ceramic. This material is:

• temperature resistant,

• chemically resistant,

• and frequency-neutral.

This has the advantage that the magnetic field can concentrate completely on the copper coil - without interference from the carrier material. The ceramic also ensures a long service life and process reliability, even under demanding operating conditions.

In addition to ceramic, Megatron AG also offers variants made of:

• glass fiber reinforced plastic (DOGLAS),

• and DOCERAM ZM-131, a zirconium oxide ceramic with magnesium oxide stabilization for extreme loads.
