Cerazur

DOCERAM Cerazur® – High-Performance Zirconia for Maximum Load-Bearing Capacity

DOCERAM Cerazur® is a high-performance technical ceramic made of
partially stabilized zirconia (ZrO₂ Y-PSZ). The material is recognizable by its
characteristic blue color and combines very high
flexural strength with excellent impact toughness and
wear resistance.

With a flexural strength of 1,300 MPa, a compressive strength of
3,000 MPa, and an impact strength of 12MPa·m¹/²,
Cerazur® is particularly well-suited for precision components subjected to high mechanical loads.
Its low thermal conductivity of less than 2 W/mK also supports
its use in thermally demanding applications.

Cerazur® offers a durable technical solution for applications in
which conventional materials or cemented carbides reach their limits
. Megatron AG supplies Cerazur® components in various
geometries and custom designs.
