They grip the sheet metal and guide the nut precisely into position before the actual welding process starts. While conventional centering pins made of steel quickly reach their limits due to wear, adhesion of weld spatter or thermal deformation, centering pins made of high-performance ceramics from DOCERAM offer a superior solution. Distributed by MEGATRON AG, these pins are characterized by a service life that is up to 40 times longer than that of steel pins - a measurable advantage in terms of maintenance cycles, costs and availability.

The materials used - CERAZUR or VOLCERA, depending on requirements - combine extreme hardness, high thermal shock resistance, electrical insulation properties and resistance to weld spatter. VOLCERA is particularly suitable for high-temperature processes in which short cycle times lead to continuous thermal stress.

In combination with the ModulMaster welding device, the centring pins can be integrated modularly and individually into automated processes. Their design consisting of a ceramic head and stainless steel base not only enables high precision, but also flexible adaptation to different component geometries and production conditions.
