Samarium Cobalt (SmCo)

SmCo magnets, just like neodymium-iron-boron magnets, belong to the rare earth based magnets. SmCo magnets have excellent magnetic properties, e.g. an extremely high energy product between 18 and 30 MGOe, a low temperature coefficient and high stability. In addition, they are highly resistant to oxidation and do not require coating under normal conditions. Especially in applications where durability is important, SmCo magnets are the best choice. This is especially true for high-end electronics, medical equipment and the automotive industry. The highest service temperature is around 350˚C.
