DOCERAM seal faces belong to the top class of industrial sealing technology. They are designed to withstand extreme conditions and offer permanently reliable sealing solutions - even with aggressive media, high speeds or extreme temperatures. As the exclusive distribution partner of DOCERAM, Megatron offers a wide range of high-quality mechanical seals made of technical ceramics.
A mechanical seal system consists of two main components: the seal face and the counter ring. These are in contact under axial pressure, but do not touch each other directly, instead running together with low friction. DOCERAM only uses high-performance ceramics such as aluminium oxide A-132 or zirconium oxide ZM-131 for these pairs, which are characterized by high hardness, chemical resistance and low thermal conductivity.
Compared to conventional metallic materials such as chromium-nickel steel or molybdenum, these ceramics offer the same advantages:
Outstanding corrosion and wear resistance
Resistant to temperature fluctuations and aggressive substances
Minimal friction and heat generation
Significantly extended service life
These properties make DOCERAM seal faces ideal for use in pumps, compressors, dosing devices or sealing systems in the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries.
Megatron ensures that you receive exactly the right solution for your application - from consultation to delivery.
DOCERAM sliding rings are used wherever maximum reliability is required:
Pump and compressor seals
Dosing and conveying technology
Seals in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry
Sealing of media with abrasive or corrosive properties
