Positioning pins are used for the high-precision, fine-tolerance alignment of components and formed sheet metal parts - especially in car body construction. As a rule, two pins are sufficient to position a workpiece exactly. This is followed by further processing steps such as forming, welding or joining.
Compared to conventional pins made of hardened steel, DOCERAM positioning pins made of high-performance ceramics, marketed by MEGATRON AG, offer enormous advantages in terms of wear resistance, temperature resistance and service life. They withstand welding spatter, high mechanical loads and heat significantlybetter - with up to 20 times longer service life.
The result: fewer system downtimes, lower replacement requirements and noticeably lower maintenance costs.

The new DOCERAM house standard enables rapid availability and flexible adaptation thanks to a modular system. Standardized components combine four ceramic head geometries with three stainless steel base variants. The connection is made using precise joining technology, tailored to the specific geometries - for maximum load-bearing capacity and repeat accuracy.
Advantages of ceramic positioning pins:
Extremely wear-resistant, even with sharp-edged sheets
High precision and repeat accuracy
Temperature and weld spatter resistant
Shorter delivery times thanks to standardized series
Head made of DOCERAM CERAZUR, base made of stainless steel
Ideal for automated production processes in the automotive industry where quality, cycle time and availability are paramount.
