Ceramic gas nozzles - long-lasting precision for the welding process
Wear resistance and process stability are crucial in modern welding processes. As an official sales partner of DOCERAM, Megatron AG offers high-performance gas nozzles made of silicon nitride that have been specially developed for applications with high thermal and mechanical stresses.
Compared to conventional copper nozzles, ceramic gas nozzles offer a number of significant advantages. Thanks to the smooth, non-sticky surface of silicon nitride, welding spatter is much less likely to stick. If residues do occur, they can be removed easily and gently - without having to replace the nozzle.
Copper nozzles have to be disposed of when heavily soiled - a costly and maintenance-intensive process. Ceramic gas nozzles, on the other hand, can be used for up to 15 weeks. In conjunction with non-contact cleaning stations, downtimes in production can be almost completely avoided.
The most important advantages at a glance:
Very long service life - up to 15 weeks in continuous use
Minimal downtime - ideal for automated welding systems
Non-contact cleaning - perfect for series production
Ideally suited for demanding processes such as overhead welding, thick sheets (>3 mm), difficult materials or high cycle rates
Material: Silicon nitride (Si₃N₄)
DOCERAM uses high-quality silicon nitride - a material with excellent thermal shock resistance, high hardness and outstanding non-stick properties. These properties make it ideal for welding technology applications where durability, cleanliness and process reliability are important.
Areas of application:
Robot-assisted welding systems
Overhead welding
Automotive production
Series production with high cycle rates
Compatible materials
