AlNiCo

AlNiCo permanent magnets AlNiCo magnets are made of aluminum, nickel, cobalt and iron. Most AlNiCo magnets are cast, where the alloy is poured into a sand mold in the liquid state at very high temperatures. Complex shapes can be cast, such as the shape of a horseshoe. Some designs are pressed and sintered. The magnetic properties are then somewhat lower, but the mechanical properties are better. To avoid demagnetization, care must be taken to ensure the correct length/diameter ratio.
