Neodymium (NdFeB)

Neodymium iron boron magnets are the strongest magnets, with a maximum energy product of more than 50 MGOe.

To protect against corrosion, neodymium magnets are provided with a coating. This can be made of nickel, nickel-copper-nickel, zinc, tin, aluminum, Teflon or epoxy.

These magnets are applied in motors, loudspeakers, separators, MRI scanners, wind turbines, electronics and automobiles, among others, in many cases together with sensors.

• Favorable price/performance ratio with the best possible magnetic properties.
• Standard tolerances are +/- o.1 mm, if ground +/- 0.05 mm. Lower tolerances on request.
• Machining possibly possible with the aid of diamond tools if well cooled, as grinding dust dusts can ignite spontaneously together with oxygen.
• To protect against corrosion, Neollux® magnets are provided with a coating which, depending on the application, may consist of a double nickel layer or a single nickel, nickel-copper-nickel, zinc, tin, aluminum, Teflon or epoxy layer.
• Neoflux® magnets are always anisotropic, i.e. they can only be magnetized axially and diametrically in the specified direction.
• With the help of special coils, Neoflux® can be magnetized with multiple poles.
• Neoflux® can be given different shapes, without additional tooling costs. A clear drawing avoids misunderstandings.
• These magnets are used in motors, speakers, separators, MRI scanners, wind turbines, and electronics, among other things, as well as in cars, often along with measurement sensors.
• Because Neoflux® magnets are mechanically less strong and magnetically very strong, it is very important to handle them very carefully and cautiously.
• The operating temperature is 80⁰C to 200⁰C at most, depending on the specification, dimensions and system design.
• The minimum dimension for a block magnet is 1x1x1 mm, the maximum dimension is 160 x 150 x 50 mm.
• The minimum dimension for a disc magnet is ∅1.5 x 0.5 mm, the maximum dimension ∅150 x 50 mm.
• The minimum dimension for a ring magnet is ∅3x∅1 x 1 mm, the maximum dimension ∅150 x ∅* x 50 mm (*inner diameter after consultation).
