Plastic bonded NdFeB

Plastic bonded magnets can be produced by pressing or by injection molding, from basic materials consisting of ferrite, NdFeB, or SmCo. The material is mixed with thermoplastic material (e.g. with polyamide). The advantage is that complex shapes can be pressed or cast. Plastic bonded NdFeB magnets are very corrosion resistant. However, it is still advisable to provide them with a coating to optimize their durability. Because of their isotropy, plastic-bonded magnets can be magnetized in different directions.
